Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking an Engagement Specialist to drive student success within MTSS. The role emphasizes removing barriers through behavioral, attendance, and family-centered interventions.

The specialist will work with families and staff, report to the Building Principal, and support school-wide PBIS and equity goals to ensure every student engages fully and reaches potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• Experience in youth and family services preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Participate in PBIS and behavior intervention meetings to support school-wide systems.
• De-escalate behaviors with trauma-informed approach to reintegrate students.
• Provide assets-based support and empower student problem-solving.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver SEL and behavioral programming.
• Monitor attendance and behavior data to guide interventions.
