Job summary

Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) seeks a Manager, Academic Engagement to design and implement engaging student experiences, including networking and education, supporting retention and recruitment across IFTSA. You will work with senior leadership to align programs with strategic goals and manage budgets to sustain growth.

You will oversee volunteer leadership, coordinate bi-monthly workshops, and serve as staff liaison to IFTSA task forces, ensuring valuable opportunities for future food

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, communications, education, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience or demonstrated competency in a similar position requiring progressive administrative responsibilities and program management.
• Experience with project management software and volunteer/program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of student member experiences driving engagement, retention and recruitment.
• Execute activities for IFTSA ensuring strategic goal alignment and effective volunteer leadership development.
• Serve as IFT Staff Liaison on IFTSA task forces and committees.
• Develop strategies for growth of student chapters/clubs and bi-monthly virtual workshops.
• Analyze member research to inform student initiatives.
