Job summary

Institute of Food Technologists in the United States is seeking a Manager, Academic Engagement to design and implement engagement and leadership development opportunities for student members, driving retention and recruitment while ensuring valuable experiences across networking and education.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration across diverse student bodies, and effective management of budgets and programs, including competitions, awards, and travel grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, communications, or education.
• 5+ years of progressive administrative responsibilities and program management.
• Experience with volunteer or program management is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as staff liaison to IFTSA Board of Directors and lead student member experiences.
• Develop and execute engagement strategies to drive participation and growth.
• Manage budgets and forecast financial performance.
• Coordinate, review, and document student competitions and leadership programs.
• Build and sustain relationships with members and staff across teams.
