Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Student Hourly employee for the Student Engagement Center (SEC) on the Lawrence campus. You will assist with Cupboard operations, food procurement coordination, volunteer training, and event tabling to support student engagement and campus programs.

Responsibilities include logging visitors in Pantrysoft, coordinating food recovery with Just Food and KU Dining, organizing clothing closets, and promoting SEC services while adhering to food safety and campus

Qualifications

• Valid and current driver's license.
• Enrollment in no fewer than 6 credit hours during the semester.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds and stock shelves.

Responsibilities

• Be present in the Cupboard during its hours of operation and assist students with shopping and logging entries.
• Coordinate food procurement and food recovery with Just Food and KU Dining.
• Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders such as students, student organizations, and university offices.
• Work with volunteers, provide brief training and support.
• Organize and sort clothing received for clothing closet.
• Table at events to share information about SEC.
• Follow policies on safe food handling, storage, pest control, and food safety training.
