Job summary

University of Delaware in Georgetown is seeking a part-time Student Engagement Assistant for Fall 2026 to support and promote engagement initiatives for students in the Flex Pathway Program. You will coordinate programs, collaborate with multiple campus offices, and help deliver social activities across the Georgetown site.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a passion for inclusive student life, with weekday morning to afternoon programs and Canva flyer support.

• Current University of Delaware Flex Pathway Program student at the UD Georgetown campus.
• Commitment to and knowledge of multicultural, diversity, LGBTQ+, equity, and access issues.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and community relations skills.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Student Advocacy & Support Coordinator to determine upcoming programs.
• Partner with offices and community entities to create an engaging social experience.
• Develop diverse engagement opportunities for the Flex Pathway Program campus in Georgetown.
• Set up and clean up programs at the UD Georgetown campus.
• Keep inventory of program items on campus and coordinate with the coordinator.
• Create a monthly social program to engage with students.
• Identify areas of opportunity in programming on campus.
• Request room reservations and calendar entries for programs.
• Assist with the monthly Flex Pathway Student Life newsletter.
• Utilize Canva to create flyers for upcoming events.
• Publish events, track attendance, and export data from Student Central.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
