The student employee performs quality ultrasound images for medical interpretation within the UAMS hospital and Radiology department. The sonographer will perform a wide variety of ultrasound studies in collaboration with the ordering provider and reading radiologist requests. This position requires rotational after hours/weekend and holiday call coverage. The sonographer will work closely with radiologists to provide needed information for accurate diagnoses. They will assist physicians in procedures such as renal biopsies, sonohysterograms, and lumason studies. The position supports academic achievement alongside students, residents, and fellows.
