Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking a Care Coordinator to provide individualized, strengths-based, non-clinical case management for students in distress, crisis, or other challenges impacting well-being and success. The role conducts assessments with students and collaborates on care plans, coordinating connections to campus and community resources, treatment access, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, college student personnel, human services, or related field.
• Experience in case management services and/or behavioral health crisis response.
• Knowledge of privacy and ethical guidelines; ability to handle sensitive information.
• Knowledge of mental health systems and practices.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as secondary responder to 974-HELP and Distressed Student Protocol.
• Collaborate to design individual action plans for distressed students.
• Coordinate community resources and crisis intervention.
• Provide follow-up to ensure recommendations are implemented.
• Maintain data on referrals and ensure information flow.
• Develop referral relationships with campus and community partners.
