Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Student Residential Dining staff member for the BA-SDIN-IUBLA role in Bloomington. You will assist in management, supervise student employees, oversee meal preparation and service, and coordinate menus and purchasing for IU Dining and Hospitality.

The position emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork within a flexible shift structure. Training includes ServSafe within 180 days; benefits are offered with the university’s programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in food services with leadership demonstrated.
• Food Safety (ServSafe) certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management, administration, and/or production for IU Dining and Hospitality.
• Provide customer service, schedules, and supervise employees.
• Oversee the preparation and service of meals and manage purchasing and menus.
• Rotate promotions and assist with brand management; may act as general manager in absence.
• Explain and demonstrate methods and procedures including food handling and sanitation techniques.
