Job summary

Tulane University’s Howard-Tilton Memorial Library is seeking a student employee for the semester to support digital initiatives. Work hours are limited to 6–10 hours per week, with a pay rate of $15.00/hour and a schedule of 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

The position is located on the 6th Floor of the library and training will be provided. This role involves digitizing materials, metadata input, and data organization, with opportunities to contribute to special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Interest in libraries, archives, digital collections, or cultural heritage materials.
• Comfortable learning new technologies, software, and digital workflows through training.

Responsibilities

• Digitize and process flat and bound materials, edit digital images, input descriptive metadata, data entry and organization.
• Assistance with special projects as needed.
