Tulane University seeks a Student Library Worker in Media Services at Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. The role offers 8–11 hours weekly with weekday daytime to evening shifts and Sunday availability, starting just before the semester begins. Federal Work Study preferred.

Pay is $12.00/hour with a $1/year increment per year/2 semesters upon returning. Responsibilities include customer service, research assistance, tech support for cameras and equipment, and clerical tasks to keep materials

Responsibilities

• Customer service: Checking out books & media materials to patrons, assisting patrons locate materials, answering directional or technology questions.
• Basic research: Answering questions about books, music scores, or newspaper articles and where to locate them.
• Technical skills: Assisting with GoPro cameras, microphones, podcasting equipment, microform readers, and media viewing devices, plus troubleshooting.
• Clerical: Moving materials, filing, labeling, and re-shelving microform & media items.
