Job summary

Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX seeks a Student-Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and report results. You will undergo competency training for up to 60 days with a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, then manage daily ultrasound operations, patient scheduling, and QA.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and complete within six months.
At least one year of didactic and clinical experience in abdominal, small parts and Ob/Gyn studies.
Must be ARDMS Abdominal and/or Ob-Gyn; or ARRT certified in Sonography within six months of graduation. BLS must be completed during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

Operate the independent operation of sonographic equipment and perform diagnostic examinations.
Communicate results of ultrasound studies to the requesting clinician.
Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound department, schedule, and equipment maintenance.
Assist in invasive procedures as needed and report equipment failures.
