Job summary

TexomaCare, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center, seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to independently operate ultrasound equipment and communicate results. The role includes managing daily ultrasound department operations, scheduling, and QA, with interaction across hospital staff.

The position requires licensure compliance, eligible/active ARDMS/ARRT certification, and CPR. Experience in abdominal, neurosonology, OB/GYN is valued. IPM supports career development within UHS family.

Qualifications

• License per licensure requirements.
• Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology is desirable.
• Maintain CME requirements for specialty.
• Must be licensed and certified or eligible.
• CPR certification per AHA Healthcare Provider program.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform examinations.
• Communicate results to physicians and care team.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and QA in the ultrasound department.
• Respond to equipment issues and participate in department training.

Skills

Knowledge of healthcare field

Bilingual English/Spanish

Education

CAAHEP-accredited program desirable

Bachelors/Associates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology desirable

ARDMS or ARRT certification / eligible

CPR certification (AHA)
