Job summary

Bucks IU is seeking a Student Data Specialist to support Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF) programs. You will coordinate data, maintain records for students with disabilities, and collaborate with schools, districts, and PDE to ensure timely placement and compliant reporting.

The role emphasizes administrative accuracy, cross‑department communication, and on‑site duties in Bucks County. Strong data skills and knowledge of IEP processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ administrative experience.
• Advanced computer competency in various databases, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint.
• Special Education Experience preferred.
• Ability to create, manage and edit spreadsheets and various reports.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals and to problem solve.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems for auditing special needs records to ensure compliance with state/federal mandates.
• Collaborate with related services, ESY, transportation, and business office to examine data for accuracy and usefulness.
• Handle admissions/enrollment and withdrawals for RTF students including transportation requests.
• Serve as liaison with residential facilities, educational entities, and districts to manage data and timelines for IEP development and implementation.
• Prepare documentation for facility audits and required PDE processes.
• Generate and manage PDE-4605 processes with PDE representatives to resolve residency issues when necessary.
