Job summary

Environmental Charter Schools is seeking a Dean’s Assistant (Middle School) to support the Dean of Student Culture and the Principal in daily operations at our Inglewood campus. The role emphasizes student support, discipline handling, and parent communications.

The position requires at least a high school diploma with 1 year in a school setting, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset to serve diverse students and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education High School; College Degree or Degree in Progress Preferred.
• Minimum Experience 1 year in school environment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including verbal, written, listening.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators.
• Commitment to the success of all students and the ECS mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Supports implementation of the Discipline Process & School Safety Plan including handling discipline situations and inputting data.
• Respond to emails from parents, staff and teachers in a timely, professional manner.
• Supervises students on campus before/after school and during lunch.
• Facilitates student mediations and leads student-centered activities.
• Prepares letters, calls parents, attends meetings, and supports attendance improvement.
• Maintains confidentiality of records and provides staff/teacher support.
