Job summary

Management & Training Corporation seeks a staff member to operate student personnel functions at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center. The role includes managing discipline systems and incidents in line with government and center directives.

Essential duties cover policy development, compliance audits, disciplinary actions, and coordination with staff and peer courts. A valid driver license is required and limited travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and one year related experience required.
• Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate the student personnel functions, including the discipline and behavioral adjustment system and management of significant incidents, in compliance with directives.
• Review and audit areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness of service delivery; prepare related reports.
• Address student behavior to ensure a safe, disciplined learning environment.
• Determine and administer disciplinary action for students who violate rules; counsel students when behavior is not appropriate.
• Coordinate and monitor review board and peer court functions and actions.
• Coordinate student discipline with center staff and maintain documentation of records and reports.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
• Conduct orientation and training on the disciplinary system for staff and students; assist in handbook updates.
