Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking a driver’s education instructor at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves monitoring and directing students in the driver’s education program, in accordance with government and management directives.

You will teach handling of automobiles, process applications, prepare students for written exams, evaluate performance, and determine readiness for tests. Strong communication and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in teaching driver’s education.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and explains handling of automobiles in emergencies, driving techniques, and mechanical operation of automobiles.
• Process students’ driver’s education applications
• Prepare students for written examinations through lectures, worksheets, and discussions.
• Evaluate students’ performance.
• Determine the students’ readiness to complete the written and driving tests.
• Maintain student accountability by documenting class attendance reports.
