Oberlin College Development is seeking Student Recording Engineers to record student, guest, and faculty recitals, run sound reinforcement for jazz recitals, assist with large recording sessions, and operate cameras for live streaming of concerts. Must be responsible, motivated, punctual, and attentive to detail; be able to lift 50 lbs; and work evenings and weekends based on the concert schedule.

Student Recording Engineers’ duties include recording student, guest, and faculty recitals, running sound reinforcement for jazz recitals, assisting with large recording sessions, and operating cameras for live streaming of concerts.
Must be responsible, motivated, punctual, and attentive to detail. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Number of hours varies based on concert/event schedule. Hours are lighter at the beginning of the term and increase toward the last few months of term, following the concert schedule.
Student Recording Engineers will be responsible for setting up and taking down audio equipment; providing recording, sound reinforcement, and video streaming services for concerts/events; documenting and editing recordings; assisting Director and Assistant director with other duties as needed.
Students with a music background and strong technical and computers skills encouraged to apply. Audio engineering experience an asset. Must be able to work evenings/weekends, and attend weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 12:30pm. Current Oberlin students only, freshmen welcome.
