Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is seeking a Student Child Development Center Teacher Assistant to provide warm, nurturing care for children and support the development of learning environments at the Ankeny campus.

The role involves direct care, implementing the center's philosophy, and maintaining safe, healthy environments. Strong communication and the ability to work with staff and faculty are essential; background checks and fingerprinting are required. Salary is $14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with varied students, children, and staff.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must pass background check and fingerprinting.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience working with young children from birth to five-year-old.
  • Early Childhood Education students desired.
