Job summary

The Excel Center in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Instructional Interventionist (tutor) who meets students where they are and tailors instruction to individuals or small groups. You will monitor progress, report findings, and communicate outcomes under leadership supervision.

This ESSER-funded role supports in-person instruction and school improvement goals. Ideal candidates are adaptable, student-centered, and able to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify

Qualifications

• Degree and Credential Requirements – NONE shown; emphasis on capability and learning.
• Tutoring approach tailored to individual or small groups, high school-age students in urban/nontraditional settings.
• Data-driven instruction using progress monitoring and reporting to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teachers, administration, and families to deliver high-quality instruction meeting standards.
• Implement interventions focusing on individual student needs.
• Meet with staff to discuss placement and progress.
• Maintain documentation of student performance and communicate progress.
• Use data to guide instruction and target mastery.
• Provide diagnostic assessments as needed.
• Assist with attendance tracking and goal setting.
• Support school-wide goals around graduation outcomes and enrollment.
