Job summary

MSU Denver's Student Accounts & Bus Services is seeking a Cashiering Specialist to support cashiering operations across campus units. You will process payments, assist walk-in customers, and ensure transactions comply with university policies.

You may supervise student cashiers and reconcile daily activity, while coordinating with the Office of the Controller on CASHNet and Banner systems. This full-time, hybrid role requires strong customer service and attention to accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of experience processing cash, credit card, or electronic payment transactions.
• Experience using CASHNet/Transact Cashiering or equivalent cashiering system.
• Experience reconciling daily, weekly, and monthly financial activity, deposits, or cashiering reports.
• Experience handling confidential financial information and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary front desk customer service by processing payments and answering inquiries.
• Processes payments and assists walk-in clients in coordination with university policies.
• Manages eMarket storefront setup and maintenance in CASHNet/Transact, ensuring PCI compliance.
• Reconciles daily payments to ledgers and resolves discrepancies.
• Trains and supervises 2–10 student cashiers and monitors cash drawer activity.
