Job summary

Career Team is hiring a Career and Education Outreach Specialist to guide students in grades 5–12, their families, and district staff across the Deep East Texas Workforce Development Area. This role partners with schools to expose students to in-demand careers and connect them with pre-apprenticeship and RAP programs.

The position requires travel within the 12-county area, on-site work in partnering districts, and the ability to deliver engaging presentations and workshops while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, business, education, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in education, youth training, or workforce development.
• Ability to travel frequently within the 12-county area.
• Strong oral and written communication with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide career information, awareness, and resources to students in grades 5–12, their families, and district staff.
• Conduct orientations and refreshers for school staff on available resources.
• Organize career exploration events, job fairs, and workshops.
• Collaborate with district staff, local employers, and workforce partners.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and customers.
