Job summary

Career Team is recruiting a Career Coach to guide students in grades 5–12, parents, guardians, and staff through career planning and pathways in the Deep East Texas area. The role includes on-site and virtual delivery, partnerships with districts, and travel within the region.

You will connect learners to in-demand industries, pre‑apprenticeships, RAPs, internships, and college pathways. The position requires a bachelor's degree and 2+ years in education or workforce programs, strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; one year of qualifying experience may substitute each year of college.
At least two years experience in education, youth training, or workforce development.
Ability to travel frequently within the 12-county area.

Responsibilities

Provide career information, awareness, and resources for students, parents, guardians, and districts.
Conduct orientations and refreshers for school staff on resources and roles.
Explain in-demand sectors, occupations, and postsecondary options using TW C tools.
Engage and train district staff on career tools and LMCI resources.
Expose students to pathways including RAPs, technical colleges, and internships.
Organize job exploration events, career fairs, and workshops.
Deliver classroom presentations on-site or virtually and maintain hours.
Collaborate with counselors, administrators, and workforce partners.
