Job summary

Lehigh Carbon Community College is seeking a part-time Career Specialist to assist students in exploring careers, developing employability skills, and pursuing job opportunities across campus and satellite locations.

The role requires collaboration with faculty and staff, delivery of career services, résumé support, interview coaching, and ongoing engagement with students to promote career readiness. Some evenings required and travel to LCCC sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PAChild Abuse history, Act 114 FBI Clearance fingerprinting).
• Two years of direct experience in career development or humanresources/recruiting required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer, and manage the full cycle of the FirstDestination Survey in full compliance with National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) practices and standards, includingdata collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist the Director of Career Development with dailyoperations, department initiatives, and project coordination.
• Create, process, and track department requisitions, purchaseorders, and financial/purchasing documentation.
• Promote student development by providing a variety of servicesto assist LCCC students at main campus and satellite locations intheir career exploration, achievement of career-relatedcompetencies, and job search.
• Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, and studentsuccess staff members to enhance students’ awareness, encourageexploration, and refine their goals, as appropriate.
• Promote students’ career readiness by supporting theirachievement of identified career-specific competencies. Collaboratewith faculty, academic advisors, and student support & successstaff to assist students in identifying learning opportunities thatwill most directly support achievement of these competencies.
