Job summary

University of South Carolina is seeking a Career Development Coach to provide counseling, coaching, and advising to students across assigned colleges and special populations. You will empower students to explore majors and career options, interpret assessments, develop plans, and build job-search skills in collaboration with campus partners.

You will deliver guidance on internships, co-ops, networking, and personal branding while maintaining records in Handshake and supporting diverse student

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience with career assessments and advising is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group career counseling sessions.
• Guide students through majors, career paths, internships, and experiential learning.
• Support internship and co-op programs and coordinate with employers.
• Manage program records and communications via Handshake and other tools.
• Develop and deliver career readiness programs and events.
• Represent the Career Center on committees and cross-functional teams.
