Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health or related field.
• Experience with college students or individuals experiencing extenuating circumstances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service experience.
• Experience in advising, conflict resolution, and crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized assessments of referrals to evaluate level of risk and need for intervention.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams of support for students with complex needs, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow-up.
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, faculty, and university administrators in navigating complex or sensitive situations.
• Assist students of concern in negotiating challenges that may impact their academic performance and progress.
• Share case responsibility on complex student care cases under supervisory guidance during high volume periods.
• Design and coordinate workshops for faculty, staff, and students that strengthen awareness of student care practices.
• Collaborate with campus and community partners to identify resources addressing housing insecurity, financial instability, and other basic needs.
