Job summary

Zūm is hiring a School Bus Attendant in Spokane, WA. This safety-sensitive role involves assisting students boarding and exiting, monitoring behavior, and supporting students with special needs while the bus operates.

You will coordinate with the bus driver and school staff to keep riders safe and comfortable. Requirements include 21+ years old, a valid driver’s license or work authorization, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Safety-sensitive position.
• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Valid driver’s license/identification card/work authorization.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test.
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily.
• Experience working with children (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit.
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff.
