Job summary

Haynes Family Of Programs Inc is seeking a Behavior Aide to support emotionally disturbed students in a school setting. You will monitor classrooms, intervene proactively, document behavior, and coordinate with teachers and the behavior team to implement intervention plans.

Responsibilities include crisis management, return to the classroom after interventions, and maintaining required logs while adhering to safety policies. A valid CA driver's license and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Crisis intervention skills required.
• First Aid and CPR certification within three months.
• Background clearance including DOJ, Child Abuse and licensing checks.

Responsibilities

• Monitors classroom or student as assigned and intervenes to keep students safe and on task.
• Liaises with teachers and behavior team to implement intervention plans.
• Documents student behaviors and maintains timely logs and incident reports.
• Supports clients during non-school hours and school closures as needed.
• Ensures safety during transitions and transportation when applicable.
