Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Teacher Aide to support the Behavior Intervention Program under the direction of the Principal at Cholla High School—Starr Pass & La Cholla Area. This 9-month calendar, 1.0 FTE position runs 8 hours per day, with eligibility for district benefits per policy.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, an associate’s degree or higher (or equivalent AZ Academic Assessment Test), plus two years of experience with students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience working with students.
• Ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
• Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted with application.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Behavior Intervention Program under the Principal.
• Monitor and conduct dialogues with students.
• Serve as liaison between students and the administration.
• Maintain documentation.
• Monitor after-school detention.
