Position SummaryThe Athletics student employment position is a role that will assist the athletic department in accomplishing functions necessary for athletic excellence.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties may include:office work, game management, concessions, statistics, scoreboard, assisting the athletic trainer, photography, videography, game day operations, making posters and graphics.Assignments may be placed by the director of athletics, the assistant director of athletics, the athletic trainer, the sports information director, and the coaches. There is office work as well as evening work to support the athletic home events.The work to be performed is quite diverse in nature.Attendance to assigned shifts is required. Two unexcused absences will result in the removal of employment. If a student worker will be absent from a shift, they must notify the director of athletics before the shift. Notification after the assigned shift will count as an unexcused absence.The student worker may be exposed to confidential information. This information cannot be discussed or made available to anyone without the proper approval of the director of athletics. Sharing confidential information with any unauthorized person is ground for immediate dismissal.Communication between the student worker and the athletics department staff is critical to job performance.
