Job summary

American University’s Student-Athlete Support Program (SASP) seeks a part-time tutor to provide virtual and in-person one-on-one tutoring to student-athletes in challenging courses.

You will maintain documented notes, complete time sheets, and prepare adequately for sessions, contributing to academic success and study-skills development. Enrollment in a AU degree program and a minimum 3.0 GPA are required.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program at American University with a 3.0 GPA requirement.
• Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA and demonstrate course mastery with A/A-.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual and/or in-person one-on-one tutoring based on course needs.
• Complete SASP Canvas training and post-session notes.
• Accurately submit time sheets on a timely basis.
