Job summary

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Athletics invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month Academic Advisor. This contractual role reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and offers state benefits. Salary range listed in posting.

You will meet with student-athletes to advise on academics, assist with course selections, maintain files, monitor NCAA progress, and support department programs. A Bachelor's degree and two years' advising experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of professional experience in academic advising, student services or higher education.
• Knowledge of FERPA and student privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise student-athletes on academics and degree progress.
• Provide pre-advisement for course registrations and major requirements.
• Maintain academic files and document advising activities.
• Monitor NCAA progress and support department programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
