Job summary

Texas Sports Academy in Austin, TX seeks an Activity Leader to oversee the academic and training day for student-athletes, ensuring sessions run on schedule and materials are ready. You’ll monitor transitions, reinforce expectations, and support coaches across classrooms, gyms, and spaces.

You work 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00–4:00) with an option for full-time, in-person. Compensation is $30/hour with weekly pay, under a Crossover contractor arrangement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in person at Lake Travis (Austin) campus.
• Minimum 15 hours per week with flexible school-hours schedule (Mon–Fri 8:00–16:00).
• Experience coaching kids (athletics, debate, chess, camp counseling, or similar).
• Experience with children aged 5–14 in structured settings (school, camp, childcare, tutoring, or coaching).
• Coordinate people, materials, and activities quickly and effectively.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transitions between blocks and sessions (roughly 30% of time): monitor clock, prompt movement, positive reinforcement.
• Prepare session materials before each block: gather supplies, organize per plan, confirm setup.
• Facilitate engagement during the two-hour academic block and training sessions (roughly 40% of time).
