Job summary

Syracuse University invites applications for the Temporary Academic Support Assistant role to support student-athlete academic development. You will work with Stevenson Educational Center Academic Coordinators to create and implement academic plans and help run programming, gaining exposure to NCAA rules and eligibility processes.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Experience working with diverse populations and inclusive practices.
• Motivated self-starter able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations including student tracking and study hall monitoring.
• Mentor a caseload of at-risk student-athletes and monitor academic progress.
• Provide administrative support to Stevenson Educational Center staff.
• Monitor academic support appointments and facility during coverage blocks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
