Job summary

Oakland University is seeking a Tutoring Services Coordinator to support the Director of Academic Success by monitoring the academics of men's and women's basketball student-athletes and at-risk students across sports, while assisting their time management, study, and organizational skills.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree, strong computer skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with some nights and weekends; compensation is $15 per hour for 10–19 hours

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree and background in education, tutoring, mentoring, or student services.
• Ability to work some nights and weekends and work independently or on a team.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Preferred experience with collegiate or high school students.
• Casual/temporary employment with 10–19 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes across all sports.
• Assist student-athletes with time management, study skills, schedule management, and campus resources.
• Uphold NCAA, Conference, and University policies.
• Position reports to the Director of Academic Success within Athletics Administration.
