TOPPAN Packaging Americas invites interns to join our analytics and AI development efforts in Charlotte, NC. You will support divisions with data insights, develop AI use cases, and help standardize performance reporting across production sites.

Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in college or recent graduates in Business/Data Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science, with Excel, SQL, Python basics and exposure to Power Automate/Power Apps.

Qualifications

• Junior, Senior in College or Graduate majoring in Business/Data Analytics
• Proficiency in Excel and basic SQL; Python basics
• Experience with data analytics and AI concepts is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support Analytics and AI development across divisions.
• Develop pilot AI use cases (ML for Waste, Vision, etc.)

TOPPAN Packaging Americas specializes in designing and manufacturing sustainable, high-performance flexible and thermoformed packaging solutions for the food, beverage, medical and consumer goods industries. We offer products like transparent high barrier films, pouches, clamshells and trays, utilizing advanced technology to enhance product safety, visibility and environmental sustainability. Summary Description

The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset. The program is a blend of hands‑on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry‑level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with business functions to support Analytics and AI development, spotting opportunities for growth and productivity
• Develop pilot AI use cases such as, but not limited to, Machine Learning for Waste, Machine Vision, Raw Material Selection and Classification
• Develop standardize business metric reporting, acting a key liaison for production sites
• Ad‑Hoc Business Analytics and Analysis requests

This is an ONSITE position based out of Charlotte (South End), NC Office

Compensation: Based on year of college student is enrolled in: Freshman - $15.50 Sophomore - $16.25 Junior - $18.00 Senior - $19.50
