Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey – RBHS, is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Medicine at RWJ Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. You will support clinical, biomedical, computational, and translational research activities under supervision, collaborating with faculty, clinicians, and staff.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program or higher in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, molecular biology, biological sciences, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, public health, or a relevant field.
• Coursework, academic projects, or relevant experience in at least one of: software development, data analysis, data management, biological or biomedical research, or clinical research.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate research data, documentation, and study-related records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, investigators, clinicians, research staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to handle confidential research information responsibly and adhere to applicable privacy, security, and institutional requirements.

• Assist with research, innovation, and technology development activities, including maintaining project documentation and tracking progress.
• Organize and verify accuracy and completeness of study-related documents and materials.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and research platforms.
• Develop user interfaces, backend services, databases, and APIs.
• Assist with deployment, integration, and maintenance using cloud-based services.
• Develop and integrate tech solutions for data collection, management, analysis, and visualization.
