Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant in the Department of Department of Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience within the New Jersey Medical School ( NJMS ).

The primary purpose of the Student Assistant position is to, under direction, perform and assist with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Ensures that glassware and equipment are kept clean and are properly stored; keeps laboratory clean.
• Prepares stock solutions and buffers.
• Assists with the maintenance of the laboratory facilities, equipment and instruments.
• Initiates inventory control of laboratory supplies, prepares and processes orders for supplies as needed.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned
