Job summary

New College of Florida seeks a Food Pantry Student Assistant to support inventory, stocking, donation intake, and pantry maintenance on campus.

You will help with marketing to the NCF community, plan events, and assist with special projects, leveraging Excel and Canva as needed. A valid driver's license is required to operate a pantry van.

This role is ideal for a proactive, responsible student who can work independently and collaborate with staff to ensure food insecurity needs on campus are met.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time NCF student in good academic and conduct standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Excel.
• Motivated self-starter able to work independently.
• Experience with Canva or graphic design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take inventory of pantry items and organize shelves.
• Stock and maintain pantry inventory.
• Gather and record food donations from banks and donation boxes.
• Assist with marketing initiatives to the NCF community.
• Plan and host events to promote the pantry.
• Coordinate with supervisor on special projects.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a van.

The Food Pantry Student Assistant shall be responsible for taking inventory, stocking, maintaining, and marketing the NCF Food Pantry, gathering all food donations, and creating events.,

• Gather and record food from the food banks and donation boxes
• Conduct inventory
• Quality control of Food Pantry inventory
• Organize food in the pantry
• Host one or more events
• Assist with marketing initiatives to NCF community members
• Special projects and other duties as assigned and approved by the supervisor
• Will need to possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a van
• Other duties as assigned

• Full-time NCF student in good academic and conduct standing
