Job summary

California Department of Justice, Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Gambling Control, Licensing Intake Unit in Sacramento, seeks a Student Assistant to support licensing operations.

You will scan and index documents, create and monitor applicant files in the licensing system, input data into spreadsheets, handle document pickup/delivery, and assist with purging licensing files for confidential destruction.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor I (SUP I), the Student Assistant provides support to the Licensing Intake Unit. The Student Assistant maintains and inputs data into several spreadsheets, completes timely pickup and delivery of documents and assists with purging of licensing files using established purge criteria and prepares discarded documents for confidential destruct.
