Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Health Behavior, Society and Policy (Social and Behavioral Health Sciences) within School of Public Health, located in Piscataway, NJ. To serve as a student assistant for a study with older adults with serious illness and their caregivers. This study aims to determine the feasibility and acceptability of a mobile health mindfulness app in order to eventually improve the overall care and mental health of older adults with serious illness and their caregivers. The Assistant will assist with data collection, subject recruitment and tracking, IRB submissions, manuscript preparations, and data management for the study under the supervision of the primary investigator.

Duties include:

  • Support Principal Investigator with subject recruitment at multiple sites throughout New Jersey ( Livingston, Monmouth
  • Medical Center, Monmouth South, and New Brunswick).
  • Orient participants to the mHealth app.
  • Perform follow up assessments via telephone
