Job summary

The Dietetic Intern (Student Assistant) at California Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero will be supervised by the Dietetic Internship Director in the Nutrition Services Department. Job Description And Duties

The Dietetic Intern (Student Assistant) will be directed by the Dietetic Internship Director (Dietetics Assistant Director) in the Nutrition Services Department at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Under supervision, performs nutritional assessments of patients.
• Counsels and educates patients.
• Assists in maintenance of quantity and quality control in food service.
• Plans menus and food purchases.
• Coordinates and communicates food service activities with other professionals and staff.
