Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is seeking a Student Affairs Officer (SAO) to oversee student whole-person development, leadership programmes, and global learning initiatives. The role involves guiding student success outside the classroom and maintaining strong ties with alumni and partners.

The ideal candidate holds a recognized degree, has project management experience in higher education, and communicates fluently in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree with post-qualification working experience in project management, preferably in student development or career development.
• Strong English and Cantonese (Putonghua) communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of working independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize student development and leadership programmes.
• Guide student success through out-of-classroom learning and promote a sense of belonging.
• Maintain alumni networks and assist in global learning initiatives (occasional travel/work may be required).
• Provide clerical and secretarial support to ensure team efficiency.
• Deliver frontline support and liaise with internal and external partners.
