POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Advocate fosters a program environment conducive to the academic, social, and personal development of students in grades 8-12. Our goal is to help students stay in school, graduate, and plan for their future.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Partner individually with students through targeted mentorship to build self-direction and actionable paths toward future goals.
  • Motivating students collectively and individually to achieve academic success through encouraging, advising, and planning strategies.
  • Providing academic assistance to students including tutoring, homework assistance, and exam review in all subject areas, and assistance in standardized test preparation.
  • Encouraging student completion and reviewing of PLP’s and SEA’s to drive individual case management.
  • Handling other duties as assigned.

  • Strengthen digital literacy skills through education and the application of digital technologies in order to effectively engage in information gathering, utilization and data management while promoting a security culture.

  • Complies and adheres to all of Le Moyne’s established policies, procedures and codes of conduct at all times, including all health and safety requirements and regulations, to promote desired behavior and build awareness.
  • Must complete all required federal, state, institution and department trainings.
  • Engages in a planned program of professional development.
  • Continually maintains skills and knowledge relative to the position and technology industry including best practice, evolving operational requirements, and industry trends.
  • Performs a variety of related duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour
