Job summary

Pacific University invites applications for a FWS Member of School Student Advisory Team - Discovery: Innovation & Leadership. This part-time position supports school chairs and student advisors to amplify student voices across schools, with up to 5 hours per week for up to 12 weeks per semester.

The role emphasizes confidentiality under FERPA, strong communication, and teamwork. Undergraduate students in good standing who qualify for federal work-study are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pacific University undergraduate student
• Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-2027 academic year (preferred, but not required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University’s policies and procedures
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
• Self-motivated
• Serves as an information source to students, staff, faculty, and community members

Responsibilities

• Work with School Chair and Student Advisor to ensure the school integrates student voices across disciplinary divides
• Coordinate and collaborate across schools to create cohesion for the college
• Possible roles include communications lead, events lead, career & experiential learning lead, and creative lead
