Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Student Admissions Counselor 1 to identify prospective students and build strong relationships with families, counselors, and community partners. You will manage recruitment activities within a designated region and coordinate outreach events to meet enrollment goals.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to travel and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; six months of admissions/recruitment or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective students who meet the University of Toledo profile and recruit within designated regions.
• Build relationships with parents, high school counselors, community members and influencers to support admitted students.
• Serve as a territory/population lead for a recruitment region and coordinate outreach activities.
• Travel as needed, including evening events, to represent the university.
