Position Description:The Online Learning team with the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning is seeking a Student Admissions Assistant III. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Online Enrollment Services, the Student Admissions Assistant III is responsible for contacting prospective UofL students via phone email, text, and chat platforms within one business day of inquiry submission. The central function of this role is to serve as the first point of contact for prospective online students to assist them in making informed decisions on how to apply and enroll in their desired program of study. This is done through assertively conducting telephone-based personal interviews to qualify prospective students on their educational goals and interests, to explain available academic programs, and to advise them on admission requirements with the goal of encouraging them to apply and enroll. The Student Admissions Assistant III will conduct sufficient follow up for students to remove barriers and maximize enrollment in online programs at UofL.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Recruit and counsel prospective students by managing inbound and outbound communication via phone, email, text, and chat. Build relationships by providing accurate and timely information about deadlines, admissions procedures, online programs, and support services. Attend recruitment events/information sessions for online programs, as needed.
- Assist applicants through proactive contact via phone, email and text. Liaison among applicants, admissions and academic units to expedite decisions and resolve barriers. Consult with Online Enrollment Services Manager, academic units and other student support units by researching policy, procedural and online program information to guide prospects through the application process
- Track interactions with prospects, applicants and current students from inquiry to enrollment. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database using standard documentation.
- Identify barriers or trends in prospective student interest feedback, enrollment services and admissions policies and processes. Escalate issues in collaboration with Student Admissions Specialist I and Senior Manager, Online Enrollment Services.
- Collaborate and provide feedback to Online Learning team members as needed to ensure processes and procedures are efficient, operative, and accurate.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in communications, psychology, business
- Four (4) years of related higher education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office 365
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Experience in higher education student information systems
- Experience in cloud communication platforms for managing inbound/outbound phone, email, chat, and text communication

Work Hours and LocationThis is a full-time position with a 37.5-40 hour regular workweek. Flexible hours may be considered between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday with business needs in mind. This position's team is based at the Belknap Campus, however this job is primarily remote. The selected candidate should reside in or near Louisville, KY, as occasional on-campus attendance will be required for intermittent departmental meetings and in-person collaboration.
