Mount Hood Community College seeks an Admissions Outreach Professional to inspire and engage prospective students through relationship-building and technology-driven recruitment strategies. You’ll manage communications, coordinate events, and partner with high schools to position MHCC as a top choice for post-secondary education.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year in student recruitment or admissions.
Inspires, shares, and creates opportunities for potential student engagement using relationship-building and technology-based student-recruitment activities as part of the admissions and outreach team. Assists and leads content support on social media, specialized software, and texting used for recruitment purposes. Participates in, plans, organizes, and implements on- and off-campus recruitment events throughout and beyond the local student recruiting areas; participates in hosting prospective student visits, campus information sessions, and other traditional and innovative recruitment activities that lead to MHCC being the first choice in the area for post-secondary education and training.

Work Environment: This is an on-site position. Any remote work requires prior approval and must comply with MHCC Remote Work policies and administrative regulations. Remote work must be within the states of Oregon or Washington. This position requires personal transportation to travel to area schools and organizations in support of recruitment activities. Work hours may vary based on recruitment activities. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment, across the College and throughout the community, occasional exposure to outdoor environments and inclement weather and requiring travel beyond college campuses.
Physical Demands: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and outdoor campus setting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies;, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying marketing and promotional materials, office equipment, supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds; emotional stability to work effectively under pressure and to keep all aspects of the job under control; hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read, prepare and assure the accuracy of documents.
Initial salary placement will be based on years of relevant full-time equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
