Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in educational leadership, counseling, or closely related field.
  • Two years’ experience in a secondary, postsecondary, or higher education environment.
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Preferred: five years’ experience in a secondary, postsecondary, or higher education environment.
  • Preferred: experience with student organizations, student government, student ambassadors, and event planning.

  • Develop and implement activities, programs, and services supporting student and institutional growth
  • Create meaningful learning opportunities
  • Foster student engagement through collaboration with peers, faculty, staff, and community partners
  • Advise the student advisory council
  • Assist faculty and staff advisors with developing co-curricular and extracurricular student organizations and honor societies
  • Provide guidance on activities sponsored by student organizations
  • Monitor budgets for student activities and the student advisory council
  • Lead development in student activities, engagement, leadership, and service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in educational leadership, vocational administration, counseling, or a closely related field

  • Two years’ experience in a secondary, postsecondary, or higher education environment

  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

  • Preferred: five years’ experience in a secondary, postsecondary, or higher education environment

  • Preferred: experience with student organizations, student government, student ambassadors, and event planning

  • Preferred: experience managing complex budgetsPreferred: knowledge of TCSG system initiatives and recruitment

  • Cover letter, resume/vita, three professional references, and unofficial transcripts required for application

  • Official transcripts required upon an offer of employment

  • Successful completion of appropriate background checks required
