Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking a friendly host/hostess in Alaska to greet guests and manage the front-of-house flow. You will seat guests, assist with wait lists, and answer questions while maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area.

You will uphold Flanigan’s Smile Talk, coordinate with team members, and ensure a smooth start and end to each guest’s visit. The role requires energy, punctuality, and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament.
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s Smile Talk.
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s Smile Talk while escorting them to table in a timely manner.
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating.
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty.
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s Smile Talk
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.
