Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Structures and Propulsion to develop, qualify, and implement manufacturing processes to build, test and launch satellites and subsystems. The role requires second shift availability and a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to create work instructions, BOMs and SOPs, and assist in transitioning hardware builds to higher-rate production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in mechanical design and/or manufacturing engineering in Aerospace, Automotive, or Commercial industries (Structures, Propulsion, Integration or GSE)
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings
• Experience in application of production engineering principles to analyze & implement manufacturing processes & methods
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance; ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements: researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing, methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
• Reviews designs for manufacturability and production scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain work instructions, bills of materials, standard operating procedures, etc. in support of manufacturing and supply chain execution
• Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
• Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities
• Leads and executes tasks as needed to transition hardware build from low-rate initial production to higher rate production
